About me
With decades of experience and an enviable contact book, I am a freelance writer, editor and content creator specialising in interiors, design, building and food. Successful companies use human-led content to make their company more relatable and their products more inspirational. I use interviews and case studies to turn facts into interesting, accessible copy that converts into sales.
My Story
Much of my career has been about words. I have been a content creator and writer for more than 20 years, and have been running my own freelance content business for the last eight years.
My work is varied and includes writing blogs, articles, case studies, website copy and white papers for corporate clients along with how-to articles and home profiles for leading interior magazines.
I also edit recipes and have been the managing editor of four cookbooks.
I hold an Executive MBA and regularly present masterclasses for the media industry on topics such as Beyond Journalism, Breaking into Media, Quoting and Pricing. I have been a speaker at TedX Newtown and am the cohost of the highly successful podcast The Content Byte, with Rachel Smith. The success of the podcast has also led to organising The Content Byte Summit, first held in 2023 and followed with a second successful event in 2024, attracting Australia's leading freelancers, content writers and creatives.
